Custom HTML and CSS login screen for Squarespace.
Custom login screen in Squarespace. Built using an HTML block and CSS to override Squarespace defaults. Also implemented secure jQuery provided by vendor for the login field, styled on brand.
Squarespace plugin implementation and styling
Implementation and customization of a 3rd party plugin into Squarespace to create a sidebar that scrolls independently of the website body. Required CSS knowledge to style.
Custom theme for Shift4Shop
Worked with a team to develop a prototype in Squarespace, and then I recreated the design in Shift4Shop eCommerce platform (formerly 3dcart). Utilized HTML and CSS to create the design.

Co-led a team to design a prototype in Squarespace, then implemented CSS-only overrides to a generic template on a specialized eCommerce platform.
Learn to Live website
Built a pixel-perfect website using HTML, Bootstrap 3, and CSS to match Photoshop mockups for desktop and mobile. Created a tablet breakpoint to accommodate the design. Worked within Visual Studio to develop the site, using GIT source control alongside a back-end developer who handled the data, integrations, and Javascript.
Responsive member dashboard for Learn to Live.
Responsive member dashboard. Used HTML and CSS to restructure the member dashboard to fit across any device. Included restructuring the multi-media player to handle video, audio, image and text on any device.

Custom HTML website for Minneapolis artist.
Created two sites for Minneapolis artist Barbara Claussen: one to showcase her installation work and one to showcase her paintings. Both sites built using HTML, CSS, and PHP. Installation site shown.
Custom Shopify skin for BossToss
Created a custom skin for Shopify store. Matched skin to the Squarespace website design. Used CSS and Liquid. In image: Shopify site is in front.
Learn to Live - Email Redesign comparison
Email redesign for Learn to Live. Email templates were designed with HTML and CSS. Original email (left) utilized elements from the initial brand. New design (right) matched updated brand and website look-and-feel.

One-day website builds

I worked on a team to take a website or website idea and build it in one day using Squarespace. The following sites were completed in one day.*

My tasks included:

  • co-leading the team to create a design that matched the client’s brief
  • creating unique elements using HTML and CSS
  • custom styling using CSS

*The goal was to launch the site same-day, but we always made sure the site fit the client’s expectations and would offer rounds of revisions prior to site launch. Design was completed in one day, but most sites launched within a couple weeks after the website build day.

Website launches

I have also launched over 30 websites. Launch tasks included:

  • Quality assurance review of entire site on desktop and mobile prior to launch
  • Updating, adding, deleting DNS records
  • Monitoring DNS population
  • Resolving issues as needed
